Avri is building a large solar park in the Netherlands, in which residents and companies from the area can participate. It covers an area of almost 12 hectares (18 football fields).

Avri is building the park because she thinks sustainability is important. As a public company, it also wants to set an example in realizing a sustainable society. That is why the park was built on the old Avri landfill, on the A15 near Geldemalsen.

By building the solar park, Avri is making an important contribution to the objectives of the Energieconvenant Regio Rivierenland. According to this covenant, by 2020 10% of the energy consumed in the Rivierenland Region must be generated regionally.
