Jan and Roos van Schie make organic wild meadow cheese on the farm De Eengedrag in the Zwanburgerpolder in Warmond. This is an island in the Kagerplassen in the Netherlands. The farm is only accessible by boat and there is a private ferry. The Red Holstein cows graze in flowery meadows where Jan and Roos also take care of the breeding meadow birds in the spring by mowing later and protecting the nests. In addition, the Lakerpolder, owned by Staatsbosbeheer, is mowed and hayed.
